Organised by HKPC annually since 2020, the “ForeSight Series” has been a thought-provoking signature event bringing together government and business leaders, industry heavyweights and technology experts to help Hong Kong enterprises capture the essence of impending economic development and technology trends of the year. The first three editions of the event have been positively received by the industrial and business sectors.
The upcoming edition “ForeSight 2024”, themed “ESG One - Driving ESG for Big & Small Businesses”, will be held on 22 January 2024 at HKPC Building, with the “ForeSight Leaders Panel” and “ESG One” Launching Ceremony enlightening new insights on digital revolution with innovation and technology to drive the vision for a sustainable future in ESG. Participants will be inspired by the exchanges on sustainability outlook by our prominent speakers, and learn how to drive and promote positive, sustainable innovations for greener and more responsible value chains.

ForeSight 2024 Opening Ceremony
Mr Mohamed Butt has been the Executive Director of HKPC since December 2017, leading HKPC to promote Hong Kong’s development into an international innovation and technology hub through advanced technologies, Government funding scheme management and FutureSkills training.
Mr Butt had previously held leading roles in a number of multinational corporations. He had worked for General Electric (GE) for over two decades, where he held various senior management positions including President & CEO of GE’s transportation business in the Asia Pacific region. During the time, he was tasked with providing strategic leadership for the expansion of business footprints, spearheading large transformational projects in collaboration with private and public sectors in the region. Before such roles, he also served as President & CEO of GE Lighting Asia and GE Security Asia respectively.
With more than 30 years of executive leadership experience, Mr Butt is deeply knowledgeable in infrastructure, manufacturing and consumer market development, backed by his profound strategic mindset and rich business insights. He also possesses excellent management skills and the ability to drive sustained service excellence and innovation in teams.
Mr Butt is dedicated to promoting technological innovation, particularly in the area of manufacturing technology in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), for local SMEs to upgrade and transform. He is also keen to drive the realisation of R&D outcomes by GBA enterprises and enrich the local I&T talent pool, in support of the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint promulgated by the Government.
Mr Butt graduated from Winona State University, Minnesota, US, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also possessed a Master in Business Administration degree from Kellogg School of Management and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Sustainability Matters: Navigating the ESG Journey in 2024
The session aims to inspire in-depth analysis and exchange on why sustainability matters to business leaders and the outlook for 2024.
The audience, comprising leaders of big and small companies across various industries, will gain valuable insights from the sharing of the Panel on how to drive and promote positive, sustainable innovations for greener and more responsible value chains.

Driven by a deep-seated belief that design can make the world a better place, Donald Choi is both architect and developer. Previously Managing Director of the Nan Fung Group, and a Director of Foster and Partners, Donald has worked on a large number of high profile public and private projects worldwide. He has also held multiple leadership roles in NGO and professional bodies that focus on community, design and innovation. He is currently the Board Chairperson of the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre, Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation and also a Board member of the Business Environment Council, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Green Building Council, Habitat of Humanity HK and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. He was the Former President of Hong Kong Institute of Architects and the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, as well as the former Chairman of the Architects Registration Board, HKSAR.
Mr Law is the Managing Director of CLP Power Hong Kong and holds overall responsibility for the operations of CLP's Hong Kong regulated business, which includes a vertically integrated electricity utility serving customers in Kowloon, the New Territories and most of the outlying islands.
Mr Law was in the banking industry before joining CLP in 2001. His experience in the energy business spans from finance, renewable energy development, fuel procurement, strategic planning, commercial development and operations. He was the Chief Operating Officer of CLP Power from 2021 and the Managing Director – China from 2022 to June 2023.
Mr Law is currently a member of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association as well as the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He is a Certification Scheme Committee member of the Institute of Big Data Governance. He is also the Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the School Council for the Beacon Hill School. Mr Law holds an MBA degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of British Columbia. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Ir Thomas HO is the Chairman of the Construction Industry Council (CIC). The mission of CIC is to CONNECT, LEAD and EXCEL. He possesses over 40 years of experience in construction industry. He has been dedicated to spearheading project management and general management, safety initiatives, sustainable development and innovation excellence in the construction industry. He is recognised by the industry as the figurehead in promoting excellence in construction management, safety leadership, as well as sustainable and quality construction. After joining CIC, he promoted Mi-Infinity, Integrated Common Data Environments and holistic Robotic Construction, he also insisted Design for Safety, High Productivity and Sustainability in the future of Construction. Livability and Well-being will be the ultimate game. In recognition of his advanced mindset in advocating innovative and green construction initiatives, Ir HO received the Outstanding Achievement Award from Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers in 2018.
Teresa is responsible for Esquel Group’s strategic planning and serves as Chairman of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) with additional capticities at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, including Industrial Advisory Committee of the Research Institute for Intelligent Wearable System (RI-Wear), Advisory Committee of School of Fashion and Textiles, as well as the Advisory Committee of the CR-PolyU Joint Research Institute for Carbon Neutral New Materials (RICNNM). She is also a member of the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA). Teresa is also one of the founders of the non-profit Y.L. Yang Foundation.
Teresa has been a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Hong Kong Chapter since 2006 and was selected as the North Asia regional honoree for the 2020 YPO Global Impact Award. She also joined the YPO Gold Hong Kong Chapter as a member in 2013 and served as Chapter Chair from 2016 to 2017.
Teresa has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
